The past, present and future of financial reporting, and its global impact, will be discussed by a host of speakers in this year’s IFRS Foundation Virtual Conference, being held on 3–4 June.

To coincide with the 20th anniversary of the International Accounting Standards Board (Board) this year, the conference will include a panel discussion on developments in capital markets and international financial reporting during the past 20 years with key people from this arena; an interactive panel session on the future of corporate reporting with investors, preparers and auditors; and the latest developments in the IFRS Foundation Trustees’ work on sustainability reporting.

Board members, IFRS Foundation technical staff and IFRS Foundation Trustees will also be presenting.

The conference is also a chance to bid farewell to the outgoing Chair of the Board Hans Hoogervorst, who will reflect on a decade of standard-setting.

The conference is being held virtually owing to the covid-19 pandemic and restrictions on physical conferences.
