The Greater Bay Area (GBA), comprising Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau, is one of the most open and economically vibrant regions in the country. As part of the GBA development, preferential and encouraging measures have been introduced to facilitate the establishment of accounting firms in Hong Kong, bringing new opportunities to the accounting profession. Currently, qualified Hong Kong accountants are eligible for exemptions from certain examination subjects when applying for the Mainland China Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination. Additionally, when applying for Mainland China practicing qualifications or partnership in Mainland China accounting firms, the auditing experience obtained in Hong Kong is considered equivalent to an equivalent period of Mainland China auditing experience. Different areas within the GBA, such as Qianhai and Nansha, have also implemented measures such as settlement incentives, talent support, tax incentives, and/or business support for accounting, auditing, and tax consulting institutions. The "GoGBA Accounting Services Seminar" will provide theme speeches, discussions, group consultation workshops, one-on-one consultations, and networking activities to help you understand relevant policies and development opportunities, as well as expand your business network.
