To kick-off this webinar, two respected speakers will respectively share their insights and experience on how organizations can embrace sustainability: - Let’s accelerate sustainability – As global pressures drive the adoption of broader sustainability initiatives, the power of science, technology, and innovation will be critical to tackling environmental issues. The speaker from IBM will share how his organization aims to drive societal impact and accelerate sustainability outcomes by applying technologies, such as artificial intelligence, and address environmental threats including climate change, extreme weather, and pollution, among others.
- Building sustainable cities – As a low-carbon transport service provider, MTR has set forth three environmental and social objectives: (1) Social Inclusion, (2) Advancement and Opportunities, and (3) Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction, and defined 10 focus areas and a set of key performance indicators to create greater impact for society. The speaker from MTR will share their approach to further embedding environmental and social principles within the corporation to deliver value for all of its stakeholders. Initiatives regarding MTR’s decarbonization roadmap, as well as social inclusion and empowering people and communities through its network will also be discussed.
